Delta Digest Newsletter | February 2023

Welcome to the February edition of the Delta Digest.

Our newsletter to keep our rapidly expanding network of delta communities, researchers, policymakers, and managers in touch with what the Living Deltas Hub is actively working on and producing throughout 2023.

The New Year has started in the usual busy vein and this year is a vital one for the Hub; as well as analysing the vast, rich interdisciplinary datasets we have gathered and continue to gather, we are publishing our results, developing evidence-based policy briefs, and disseminating findings in a variety of accessible ways.

Using our huge capacity - at the last count, over 130 colleagues covering a minimum of 47 research specialisms - we want to reach as many partners as possible to join our journey of making our research findings a reality on the ground. We are providing evidence-based solutions, co-produced with delta communities that are culturally sensitive, place-focused, and address the range of significant challenges facing deltas in South and Southeast Asia.

The bottom line for the Living Deltas Hub is to make a significant contribution to more sustainable delta futures in four ways: 1 – by building more resilient delta societies and sustainable delta landscapes, 2 - by implementing the UN SDGs in delta-specific contexts, 3 - by contributing to secure and equitable delta livelihood achievement, and 4 – by doing all this by integrating natural-cultural heritage into inclusive delta governance.

Don’t forget to
